As the ex patriot who distrusts the Democrats a point should be made about integrity. The Democrats were give a chance by the electorate to put up some form of firm opposition to the useless butchery now afflicting the world in Iraq. They chose, instead, not to put their position on the line in the hope of gaining more permanence in congress. The guys in Iraq are putting their lives on the line for their country. The Democrats must put their majority on the line to end the goddamn war. If the American people do not want to end the war then the Democrats deserve to be kicked out. What is missing is courage.
